Students from 14 regions of Ukraine have come to Mariupol State University as a part of the “GOxChange” national youth exchange program. Within 10 days, guests will get acquainted with the city and its famous residents. There is also the development of socially significant projects in the plans.
The goal of “GoChange” is to change the ideas of young people about Ukrainian cities. Program participants will also develop leadership, project management and teamwork skills.
It is worth mentioning that the ‘GoxChange’ project was begun as a student exchange program between the eastern and western regions of Ukraine. In 2018, he joined nearly fifty students of Uzhgorod National and Mariupol State Universities.
The official opening of the program took place on May 20th. The participants were greeted by the coordinator of ‘GoxChange’ project - Svetlana Kolodiy and the president of Mariupol State University - Professor Konstantin Balabanov.
This year the project will cover all regions of Ukraine. And Mariupol students will be able to visit Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. The reciprocal exchange is scheduled for autumn 2019.
The organizers of the student exchange program are the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the public organization Global Office, Donetsk Regional State Administration and Mariupol State University. The project is financially supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
