The Mayor Vadim Boichenko together with the director of the Mariupol Sea Commercial Port, Alexander Oleinik, held a video conference with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Estonia, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin. During the meeting, the parties discussed the logistics issues of Mariupol and the state of the port operation.

During the conference, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkyavichus expressed his solidarity and words of support.

‘We understand the situation that is there, so we will not leave it unattended. We need to prioritize to understand where support is most needed. I hope we can help ease the situation’,
Linas Linkyavicius said.

In turn, Vadim Boichenko drew the attention of the Ministers to the transport problems of the city. The Mayor also thanked the European partners and the Ukrainian government for their support in solving the problems that Mariupol faces.

‘An international support is important to us. Thank you for your caring attitude towards Ukraine and Mariupol. We appreciate your support of the Ukrainian government which has helped the city to implement ambitious infrastructure facilities. For example, only the decentralization reform helped to form a record development budget - UAH 1 billion 200 million,
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

The head of the port, Alexander Oleinik, told in what way the situation in the Sea of ​​Azov affects the work of the enterprise. I elaborated on the performance of the trade port for today.

Pavel Klimkin assured that he will continue to assist Mariupol in the implementation of infrastructure projects.

‘We will continue our support for Mariupol not to feel "cut off" from the Ukrainians. It is important for us if European Union understands what is happening in Mariupol and the region,’
