The Prime-Minister of Ukraine Olexiy Honcharuk has opened panel discussions of the first investment forum RE:think.Invest in Ukraine. According to him, the forum in Mariupol is an extraordinary event not just for the region but also for all the country.
He noted that Ukraine is now an area of opportunities. Thus, during the forum, signing of memorandum and agreements is expected. According to it, Ukraine should receive more than UAH 1 billion of investments.
Besides, Olexiy Honcharuk said that one of the priorities of the government is the fight against corruption. Another top priority will be attracting investments: ‘This is a driver of economic growth. We expect that, together with investments in the country, new knowledge, new technologies, new business practices should come’.
He added that the country expects a change in patterns in certain markets in the energy and infrastructure markets.
‘Our government will stand for market reforms. We will work in every field - in the energy and infrastructure sectors.The vast majority of problems should and can be resolved through competition.Our religion is fair competition and equal rules for everyone,’ Olexiy Honcharuk emphasized.
