730 HOAs have been registered in Mariupol. This year, more than UAH 200 million were allocated from the city budget to support them. Most of all, the residents vote for the creation of ‘Cosy Yards’. One of them is being built in 110 Mira Ave. and 30 and 33 Zelinskogo Str. The progress of work was checked by Mayor Vadim Boichenko.

Three flats entered the HOAs at different times. But they decided to join forces to create a common place of leisure in the yard.

Due to the city support program, HOAs in all houses carried out a major overhaul of the roof. In one of the houses old windows have been completely replaced with metal-plastic ones. In two others, these works are in process. The construction of the ‘Cosy courtyard’ is underway.

‘We had a playground with swings which had already been 30 years old. They have completely fallen into disrepair. Children had no place to play. Now we are looking forward to the opening of the ‘Cosy Courtyard’. Despite the fact that he is not ready yet, the residents can see positive changes,’ Andrei Kraskovsky, chairman of HOA ‘Shlyah to mrii’ said.

The work is already underway. Now the forces of Mariupolavtodor remove old asphalt in the courtyard and prepare a site for a new space. According to the head of the Department for Development and Support of HOAs Sergey Marchuk, the plans to establish about 72 elements: benches with a canopy, dryers, children's play complexes and sports simulators.

Vadim Boichenko praised the progress of repair work. The Mayor noted that the creation of such common ‘Cosy Yards” has become a positive trend.

‘Due to the ‘Cosy Yards’ we create a comfortable Mariupol. The common ‘cosy space’ unites the residents. Most importantly, their attitude towards Mariupol is changing. People share responsibilities for their yard, the future of children and our city,’
the Mayor stressed.
