The city authorities and law enforcement bodies implemented a number of measures for the safety of residents. As a result, Mariupol entered the top ten safe cities of Ukraine. It was stated by Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor in the broadcast of the Ukraine TV channel.
Vadym Boichenko noted that ‘Safe City’ and ‘Public Order’ programs were operating in the city. The experiences of Singapore, Dubai and London have been studied for the realization of these programs.
So, within the framework of city programs, the UASC analytical center was launched, which united about 700 functions, including call center and ‘102’ application. Smart cameras were installed at thesecurity road blocks and busy crossings. Schools have emergency buttons and video surveillance systems.
