Today the first hub school No. 66 has opened the doors for students in Mariupol. It has become the most modern educational institution in the city. The head of the Donetsk regional state administration Oleksandr Kuts opened the school together with Mariupol City Mayor Vadim Boichenko.

The opening of the hub school was a significant event for children, their parents and teachers. The governor of the region congratulated everyone on the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the academic year in a new Ukrainian school of Mariupol.

'It is a holiday for the entire Donetsk region. This year, 18 thousand first-graders will go to a new Ukrainian school - a school of knowledge, security in which every student cares with appropriate respect and hope. The future of our country is being built at this school,’ he noted.

In his turn Vadim Boichenko appreciated everybody for patience and hope. Due to this, a hub school appeared in the city. He also stressed that the construction of this educational institution is the result of joint efforts of the state, the region and the city. This project could not be realized without the initiative of the President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko, the support of the region and the desire of the city.

‘This is the level of education that has never been in Mariupol and Ukraine before. We are firmly moving forward because we understand that the future of our country depends on our children. We felt lack in such innovative methodological centers. Competences will be born in it that will bring the education system of Mariupol and the country to a new level. The innovations that we have laid in this center of science will bring up quite a different youth, ready for modern challenges that an ever-changing global world requires’,
the Mayor told.

Honored guests with the children appreciated the changes. They were met by bright halls with creative design and rest areas. There are modern classes with new IT equipment, interactive whiteboards, laboratories, an innovative library and a new sports hall, a comfortable buffet, a stylish assembly hall and a press center. New Ukrainian classes are waiting for the kids in the first form.
