Thousands of Mariupol residents celebrate Independence Day in Theater Square

In Mariupol, in Theater Square, a bright entertainment program for the Independence Day of Ukraine has been held. A variety of locations, master classes and photo zones were waiting for Mariupol residents and guests of the city. The celebration ended with the performance of the Ukrainian band ‘KAZKA’.

The start of the main holiday of the country near the theater began at 3 p.m. Mariupol residents came with national symbols, dressed in embroidered shirts and they held blue and yellow flags in their hands.

In particular, in the Theater Square children also took part in master classes with pleasure. Thus, everyone had the opportunity to join Mariupol artists Sergey and Evgenia Smol.

In Theater Square, photo zones with national symbols were active. The location of the strongmen was popular. New records were set by three strongmen - Alexander Lashin, Victor Yurchenko and Sergey Pokatko. They extended two MAZ buses which were filled with people at a distance of about 10 meters.

At the festival, all those present could try dishes of national cuisine from different regions of Ukraine. The dishes were diverse: from traditional okroshka to the Hutsul banosh.

At 6.00 p.m. a concert began at the stage. First, Mariupol residents and city guests were entertained by young performers from ‘Voice. Children’. They performed covers of famous world and domestic hits.

The highlight of the concert program was the performance of ‘KAZKA’ band. The musicians showed a real show program. They performed famous hits – ‘Holy’, ‘Cried’, ‘Dances’. The group ‘lit up’ the thousands of spectators gathered with their energy, drive and good mood.
