I want us to be proud of the way the City of Maria and chamber philharmonic sound: Vadim Boichenko

Today a formal opening of Mariupol chamber philharmonia has taken place. There are no other kinds of such establishments in Ukraine like this. The City Mayor Vadim Boichenko enjoyed the sounds of elite music together with the citizens and the guests of the city.

Mariupol chamber philharmonia united three local bands: ‘Renaissance’ chamber orchestra, municipal wind band and folk orchestra. The establishment is located in ‘Markokhim’ Palace of Culture. The premises has all the necessary acoustics and a spacious hall for 400 spectators.

‘It is a historical moment for Mariupol. We are opening a new page of cultural development. Now we will sound bravely and loudly all around Ukraine. Due to our talented musicians, partners, district administration and Ministry of Culture we were moving in a right direction and we have opened a unique chamber philharmonic in Ukraine’,
Vadim Boichenko admitted.

A holiday concert dedicated to the opening of a new establishment began with a legendary fifth symphony by Beethoven performed by ‘Lvov’s Virtuoso’ academic chamber orchestra and ‘Renaissance’ Mariupol chamber orchestra. The pieces of national and world classics were played as well. Honored cultural workers of Ukraine performed at the stage of Mariupol.

 ‘Mariupol Classic’ musical festival started on September 2 in honor of Mariupol philharmonic opening. The bands of philharmonic and opera theatres from Lvov, Kharkov, Dnepr, Ivano-Frankovsk and Rovno will perform a bright program.

‘I am sure that a festival of classical music will become traditional for a city. I want all of you to be proud of the sound of City of Mariia and our chamber philharmonia’,
the City Mayor emphasized.

In having concert in chamber philharmonia, the musicians from Ivano-Frankovsk gave a portrait of Ivan Franko and admitted that the event is extremely important for cultural development of Ukraine.
