Sports victories! Vadym Boichenko awards young figure skaters

Mayor Vadym Boichenko has presented gratitude to the young skaters who brought awards from All-Ukrainian competitions Poltava Winter Cup to Mariupol. The Mayor appreciated them for glorifying sports Mariupol.

“Only two years ago we opened the ICE Center ice arena, and there are already such victories. I appreciate you for glorifying our city throughout Ukraine. Mariupol is a city where dreams come true and new opportunities open up,” Vadym Boichenko said.

It is worth noting that 48 Mariupol figure skaters set a record at the competition in Poltava and won 31 medals. They brought 13 gold, 10 silver and 8 bronze medals to their hometown. Thus, Mariupol took first place in the overall standings of figure skating among 14 cities of Ukraine.

Children learn figure skating at the new ICE Center ice arena in Mariupol. There is a school of hockey and figure skating. More than 200 children from 4 to 13 years old are trained in this graceful sport.
