In Mariupol, British director Josie Dale-Jorns, creates a digital performance together with actors from the Teatomaniya folk theater. It shows the themes of war, loss and gender-based violence.

After a year of distance communication, the project team finally met. By exploring their own worries, fears and aspirations, the actors will reveal to the audience their own attitude to various relevant topics. This is a performance about finding a connection during a forced distance. Currently, rehearsals are being held in compliance with all quarantine regulations.

“Participants of the residence were the youth of Mariupol, who understand what it means to“ be on the wave ”, to develop the city and Ukraine. Currently, their projects go beyond Ukraine. Young Mariupol residents adopt international experience. The theater should be modern, raise current topics, because it reflects our life. Forms are filled with new content and this makes us think, ” Anton Telbizov, head of the Teatomania National Theater said.

The project will be presented within the framework of the International Residences Marathon of the project of cultural and artistic initiatives "Dialogue in the language of art" with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
