During a working trip to Mariupol, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited school No.26. This was reported on the website of the President of Ukraine. It was reconstructed within the framework of the national program "Large Construction".
“It is a cool school. Children want to learn in it. It feels like a modern space for learning. There are all the conditions to engage in various activities. The city needs to have more schools like this, " Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
As part of the reconstruction of the school, new heating systems were installed, the facade was insulated, and engineering and electrical networks were replaced. The walls and floor were finished and the territory of the institution was landscaped. The dining room equipment has also been updated. The school classrooms were equipped with new educational equipment.
Sports facilities have been equipped on the territory of the institution, in particular, a football field with artificial turf, a treadmill, basketball and volleyball courts, and a gym.
"School is the embodiment of great changes in our city. 6.5 thousand square meters, 32 modern technological classes - this is what the institution looks like today. New equipment and modern approaches have opened new opportunities for more than 900 children who are currently studying here, " Vadym Boichenko said.
In addition, as part of Olena Zelenska's initiative "Without Barriers", the school is equipped with accessibility elements: two ramps are installed, tactile tiles are laid, there is a special lift for moving up the stairs, bathrooms are equipped for comfortable use by children with disabilities.
