Tomorrow, February 16, all Ukraine celebrates the Day of Unity. Mariupol is already preparing for the holiday. The main streets will be decorated with 300 blue and yellow flags. The Mariupol steelmaker is already welcoming everyone with one of them. Mariupol is a Ukrainian city!

“Mariupol was, is and will be Ukraine. On the Day of Unity, the flags of our country are set up throughout the city. I suggest every Mariupol citizen to support this initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and decorate our city blue and yellow together. Put flags on cars, on windows and just take them with you. Today we must unite for the sake of peace and the future, our main symbol of unity is the blue and yellow flag. We believe in Ukraine, we believe in Mariupol,” mayor Vadym Boichenko said.

Unity Day is a new holiday founded by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We are told that February 16 will be the day of the attack. We will make it a Unity Day. The corresponding decree has already been signed. On this day, we will hang out national flags, put on blue and yellow ribbons and show our unity to the whole world,” the President noted.
