Mariupol rescuers are given certificates for the purchase of two cars

Mariupol has celebrated Lifeguard Day on Theater Square. Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov congratulated with the holiday. He presented certificates for two Renault Duster cars worth of UAH 1.5 million. Funds for their purchase were allocated from the city budget.

Sergei Zakharov noted that the work of the emergency services, fire and rescue units, emergency rescue services and specialized units is aimed at protecting residents and their safety: ‘The work of rescuers is one of the most difficult and responsible. They are the first to come to the rescue and are near at the most dangerous moment. The highest appreciation of your work is the gratitude of Mariupol residents, from every person you saved. Thank you for your patriotism and dedication!’

Besides, Deputy Mayor Mikhail Ivchenko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Vadim Filashkin, Deputy Commander of the United Forces Oleg Kudrenko and Head of the National Police of Donetsk Region Nikolay Semenishin joined the greetings.

During the holiday the certificates of achievement and acknowledgement were handed to the best rescuers of Mariupol. An exhibition of rescue equipment and a festive concert were also held at Theater Square.
