The quality of the works was checked by the mayor Vadim Boichenko. The reconstruction of non-residential premises of social housing along Krasnomayakskaya and Mendeleev Streets is being in process according to the schedule. 39 families will be able to settle into comfortable and energy efficient apartments soon. The total cost of the facilities is UAH 35 million.

The mayor highly appreciated the quality of construction works. The walls and the foundation left partly from the uninhabited premises here. In fact, this is the construction of two new two-story houses.

Vadim Boichenko said that Mariupol has become a positive example for the whole Ukraine taking a solidary position regarding the problems of internally displaced people. As a result with the support of the European Union, the first social hostel for resettlers in our city was opened with a minimum payment for utilities.

Having seen the successful implementation of the project in Mariupol, the government decided to support the city. When co-financing of the state 50 to 50 and municipal budgets began, a renovation of non-residential premises for social housing on Krasnomayakskaya and Mendeleyev streets was started.

‘We will distribute it among our residents who have been standing in the social queue for apartments for many years and new Mariupol residents who need housing. But the program does not end by this. We plan to build such facilities in 2019 as well. Today we are looking for non-residential premises which are subject to reconstruction. Mariupol has opened a new direction and it is being realized,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

In addition, qualified resettlers work for the benefit of Mariupol. Among them there are doctors, law enforcement officers, teachers etc. According to the mayor, they also need support for housing.

Thanks to the Minister for Temporary Occupied Territories and internally displaced people Vadim Chernysh, the state sent UAH 15 million to this direction. The city allocated the same amount. The joint financial resource allowed to purchase 63 apartments for new Mariupol residents. This housing is for official use without the right to privatization.
