Modern cardiology center to save thousands of lives in Mariupol

Mariupol is building cluster medicine around key problems of the citizens of the city including heart attack. A modern cardiology center has to solve this problem. It is going to accept first patients this autumn. The total amount of investments to the object, taking into consideration all the turns, is UAH 80 mln.

The City Mayor Vadim Boichenko showed the level of accomplishment of this project to the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Vadim Novinskiy and the Director General of ‘Metinvest Holding’ LTD Yuriy Ryzhenkov. The future cardiology center is located on the second floor of the hospital of the first medical aid. The major repair works with reconstruction were started last year.The result has already been seen and the cardiology center has all the chances to be the best object of health care service of Mariupol. The city, Metinvest, European investment bank and State fund of regional development have made the investments to the repair works.

‘A new fundamental object that has never existed before, is going to appear in Mariupol and it is cardiosurgery. We are fighting for every Mariupol heart. Today, when the heart attack happens, we have two hours to save life. We are making all the conditions to fight for the health of every citizen of Mariupol effectively’,
the Mayor stressed.

According to the Mayor, if a person has a heart attack and the first medical aid fixes it, this patient is brought to the cardiosurgery. He gets free operation that costs about UAH 50 000 -70 000. The stents that are needed for localization of dangerous focus on heart, will be provided at the expense of local budget. Planned surgeries that will cost less expensive than in private companies, are to be lead.

 ‘Metinvest company has overcome crisis and now we have more opportunities to support the projects of development of Mariupol. We determine the projects of investment mutually with the city authorities and we take into account the wishes of  Mariupol citizens to create more comfortable and pleasant city’, Yuriy Ryzhenkov admitted during a visit of the center.

Bright walls, modern waiting area, soft furniture, monitors, doors with motion detector, equipment for automatic putting on surgical boots, interior with Mariupol brand – all these things arrange the patients to feel themselves in a comfortable way. A modern approach of treatment and unique equipment for our city will bring them along a quick recovery.

It is worth mentioning, the ward is going to be equipped with modern medical equipment in the amount of UAH 35 mln. This is going to be antiographic equipment, diagnostic ultrasonography z5 with a detector, diagnostic ultrasonography Mylab Seven, a machine for artificial lung ventilation etc.

 ‘I see the way to save a patient. We have powerful human resources and modern equipment is forced into application’, Sergey Orleanskiy, Chief Doctor of Emergency hospital said.
