The National Police Act of Ukraine was signed exactly 2 years ago on this very day. The National Police officers have been honored on Voyiniv-Vyzvolyteliv Square in a solemn atmosphere today.
The lining of the personnel of the territorial police agencies, the shining of military equipment behind them, the samples of weapons and ammunition presented on the tables – all these things express the impeccability and readiness to stand up for the citizens any moment. This is exactly how Mariupol celebrates this holiday of the National Police. When this structure was created, the townspeople sighed with relief.
Mariupol citizens relax in the parks and squares quietly now. They are confident that they are under reliable protection while walking around the streets of Mariupol in the evening.
Viktor Remskiy, the Deputy Head of the Donetsk civil-military administration, addressed the law enforcement officers. “I congratulate you on behalf of Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, the Head of the Donetsk civil-military administration. We know firsthand how dangerous and difficult your service is. We appreciate it. The Regional State Administration always supports Donbas police and will continue to contribute to its development and prosperity”, - he emphasized.
Close cooperation between the City Council and the National Police has been established for today. This is stated by a number of implemented programs: ‘Public order’, ‘Counter-terrorism’ and ‘Safe City’.
Stepan Mahsma, the Secretary of the Mariupol City Council, congratulated officers on behalf of Vadim Boichenko, the Mayor, and deputy corps. “Our lives became safer with your help. It became safer to study, work, walk, live. Its role in this was played by reform of the law enforcement system, because of which the new police, the National Police of Ukraine, appeared. It has got best of the best, those who proved their skill and devotion to the cause.
You have one of the most noble and at the same time responsible missions that is to defend and protect people's lives. Thank you for your service. I wish every one of you easy working days, good health, and loving relatives waiting for you at home. Happy National Police Day of Ukraine”, - he said.
Now the police force is a powerful structure, they have everything they need to protect citizens' rights and freedoms. The police guards, which are equipped with modern transport and special tools, equipment and weapons, counteract crime timely and effective.
The best employees were awarded for high professionalism, diligent performance of official duties, devotion to the service, loyalty to the oath to the Ukrainian people, as well as on the occasion of the National Police Day of Ukraine.
At the end of the ceremony, everyone could see weapons and fighting equipment, as well as listen to the songs performed by the Orchestra of the National Police General Headquarters in Donetsk Oblast.
