About 9 thousand tons of a mixture of different consistency is stored in the warehouse. This amount was enough to spill roads and sidewalks in the winter last year.
“The delivery of sand and salt mixture from the warehouse will be carried out to the logistics centers. The task is to provide them with a three-day supply of materials”, - Mikhailo Kohut, the Deputy Mayor, said.
He noted that stone screening dust, which will improve the quality of roads with glazed ice conditions, will be also used this year in Mariupol. The city has bought for the pavement about 7 thousand tons of bischofite, the anti-icing reagent. Unlike salt, it has a more favorable effect on footwear of passers-by and green plantings.
Bischofite allows you to handle pedestrian zones before the weather conditions deterioration - before it rains and freezes. The response rate will depend on the work of the hydrometeorological center. The earlier utility services will be informed about the deterioration of weather conditions, the earlier roads will be handled.
