During the working visit, French delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabel Dumont has visited the Family Support Center in the Central region. They listened to the problems of the settlers and answered the questions of interest.

The Family Support Center has been operating since 2014. Those who have suffered from armed conflict can receive psychosocial support, humanitarian assistance, as well as legal support. There are carpentry and pottery workshops, an art therapy room, a children's room and a parent club. There are  English language courses, classes in artistic craftsmanship, physical training and sports, photo and video skills for children.

Deputy Mayor Ksenia Sukhova stressed that Mariupol shared the problems of resettlers and found ways to address them.

‘The first social hostel for resettlers has been opened in Mariupol and the apartments for qualified specialists have been bought. The buildings are being reconstructed for social housing in the city. The main thing is that there is support from the state and international partners,’ the Deputy Mayor said.

During the meeting, residents noted that the city provides them with all-round support. Resettlers can get temporary accommodation, realize themselves and have good opportunities for the development of their children.

‘We are doing great work in this direction. I understand how difficult it is to leave my home, so I want to listen to your problems and wishes,’ Isabelle Dumont said.
